Asset insurance that rewards resiliency

We believe projects should be rewarded for investing in measures that protect their solar, wind, and battery storage assets against weather and natural catastrophe related risks.

That’s because every dollar invested in natural catastrophe resilience drives down the risk of asset loss or damage – so actions like stowing solar panels to prevent hail damage, mowing grass to reduce fire risk, and installing equipment that protects sites from geographic perils such as earthquakes, floods, fires, and severe storms will be rewarded.

What does Property Insurance protect against?

Our underwriting team

What information is required for a Property Insurance submission?

The more information we get, the better! We use real data to estimate risk, and can use the following detailed information to provide the most accurate quote:

Solar Energy Insurance Services, Inc. serves as the insurance licensed entity and acts as the authorized managing general agent.

Excess Natural Catastrophe coverage

When primary limits aren’t enough, kWh Analytics provides up to $20M per location in excess natural catastrophe coverage for severe convective storms, hurricanes, and other catastrophic events.

What is Excess Coverage?

Excess insurance provides additional protection above your primary policy limits. As renewable projects and their subsequent PMLs (Probable Maximum Losses) grow larger, lenders require higher coverage amounts. Excess layers have become essential for comprehensive risk management to avoid underinsured assets.

Resilience is Rewarded:

Just like our primary coverage, our excess layer recognizes and rewards investments in protective measures. Projects with proven hail stow capabilities, reinforced equipment, and robust O&M protocols benefit from more favorable terms through our Hail Risk Evaluation process
